About Brenda Leyva
The Girl Behind the Lens
I’m Brenda Leyva, a concert photographer born in Chicago and currently based in Seattle. I’m also a first-generation Latina in STEM working in tech while building my creative path through photography.
I started by using my iPhone camera at concerts and lining up super early to get close to the stage. I loved being able to feel every part of the performance!
When my friends started saying my photos and videos made them feel like they were actually there, I realized I wanted to give that same energy to other fans too.
A huge part of this journey has been the photographers and creatives I’ve met along the way. They’ve inspired, supported, and introduced me to opportunities that helped me grow.
My work has been connected with Bars, Concerts, RapTV, Summer Smash, UIC Radio, and Our Generation Music. I’m also building toward street and portrait photography.
